Showin' Some Blog Love

I really enjoy reading this blog. Not only does she remind me of my mom, but she seems like the type of mom I want to be someday. I think reading blogs is kind of like people watching, but more personal. I get to see into and learn a lot about other people's lives. I have discovered so much while away at college about the way others live. I find it fascinating. Even silly little things (the way another girl curls her hair) remind me of how many different ways a task can be completed. It's always good to be reminded that my way isn't THE way, and with an open mind, I can learn a lot from those around me.

And here's a Maggie (because what's a post without a picture?)

Weekend Walk

This past weekend was pretty quiet in Ellensburg with many students out of town for Memorial Day. Mine was spent mostly working on my thesis paper, which is due this Friday (yikes). A break was much needed, so off I went on a walk through town. I would love to live downtown someday, but somewhere on the westside instead. I adore the cute, little houses. I could see myself walking or biking to the coffee shop and library. Maybe someday... Until then, here are some pictures of what I saw.

That is a whale bone that the tree has grown around.

There are random carvings all over the walls of the building I live in.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Storms & Visitors

This last weekend was pretty eventful. I loved the thunder & lightning storms, found my favorite cereal on sale, went to a movie and had some wonderful visitors. My mom, grandma, Aunt Monica and cousin Makenzie came for the day and got to see what I've been up to. Because of the storms, it was flooding, which made it more of an adventure. I have the best family. You know why? They all put  some sort of encouraging card or treat into a big care package that my mom brought. I felt so much love and support, which is always needed when you're swamped with school. Thanks everyone :)
The storms weren't so great for Patrick as he flew a plane up from Texas, but don't worry, he's safe in Washington now.

my aunt isn't pictured, but just imagine a beautiful lady & that's her :)

Lately...

Lately, life has been overwhelming. As the end of the year approaches, I have a lot to do for both school and work. I can't believe it's my last quarter here at Central and possibly the end of my schooling for good. This has been my life since kindergarten, and I'll probably feel weird not going back next September. Weird but happy! I have been trying to simply enjoy my time here. It's been good to take time with friends and soak it all in. Here are a few things I have really enjoyed this past week.

a yummy snack...

some pretty flowers as the sun went down...

Have a wonderful weekend :]

Flowers

I love how green it is outside, and seeing fresh spring buds is so refreshing after a long winter. Patrick got me these beautiful flowers to brighten my room. They smell good, too!

The weather can't seem to make up it's mind here in Ellensburg, but we have had some pretty days to enjoy.

Easter Happenings

I was able to go home for Easter weekend, but it went by far too quickly. It was great to be with family and friends, have date night, watch the movie Tangled, take pictures, go shopping, sleep in my own bed, play with my silly dogs, eat delicious food, jump on the trampoline, see elk, go to church and soak up the sunshine! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter :] He is Risen!

Ladies Night Out

The other night, my friend, Kelsi, and I went to ladies night out in downtown Ellensburg. Yummy snacks and pretty things were on each block. What's not to love about that? I think my favorite store was Ellensburg Floral. Have a look...
